Consequences for temperature, sea-level rise and ocean pH for all 5 climate-sensitivity values as shown in CBAT control panel

can be read off here

and here

as the budget-control slider is moved up and down.

TEMPERATURE

For all three budgets and for all 'climate-sensitivity' [CS] levels, the temperature values all assume a global average of 15 Degrees Celsius for the year 2010. The read-off values are transient-values for the year 2110 only.

The final 'equilibrium value' for these beyond 2110 would be higher under the influence of the higher CS level that is chosen. Views as to what this CS value is vary quite widely.

CBAT-users can select from a range of 5 CS values that go from Low to High. The 'clock-values' adjust according to that choice and the budget-slider position chosen.

SEA LEVEL

For all three budgets and for all 'climate-sensitivity' [CS] levels, the sea-level values all set a global average level-rise at zero for the year 2010 and the read-off values are for the year 2110.

The final 'equilibrium value' for these beyond 2110 would be higher under the influence of the CS level that is chosen. Views as to what this CS value is vary quite widely.

CBAT-users can select from a range of 5 CS values that go from Low to High. The 'clock-values' adjust according to that choice and the budget-slider position chosen.

OCEAN ACIDITY

For all three budgets and for all 'climate-sensitivity' [CS] levels, the ocean pHl values all set a global average value of 8.1 pH for the year 2010 and the read-off values are for the year 2110.

SUMMARY

In other words, the slower/heavier/higher the contraction-concentrations unfold over the period 2010 to 2110,

  • the higher the temperature value for the year 2110 reads

  • the higher the sea-level value for the year 2110 reads

  • the higher the acidity [the lower the pH] value for the year 2110 reads
